It was a fast-paced and interactive day, giving patients and carers the opportunity to quiz the specialists as well as listen to them. Video footage of the entire Conference (Members' section) has now been uploaded onto our website, within the Members' Area, so members can watch the specialists' talks and powerpoint presentations. If you're not already a member, it is worth joining just for that benefit alone!
The sessions for healthcare professionals were also recorded and it is planned to make copies of DVDs available in the near future at a very reasonable price. This Study Day was attended by neurosurgeons, neurologists, GPs, oral specialists, dentists, nurses and others. Delegates travelled from as far away as India, Amman, Holland and Spain to listen to a series of lectures on diagnosis, medical management and surgical therapies, with lively debates taking place between the specialists, patients and carers during the panel sessions and the refreshment breaks. There was also news of a possible new drug treatment for TN.
