We hold our Annual General Meeting in June each year in different parts of the country, to which we invite members of our Medical Advisory Board - specialists, neurologists and neurosurgeons - as speakers to give presentations and take part in group workshops where members can question them at length in an informal setting.

Our first two-day conference was held at Keele University, Stoke-on-Trent, in June 2007 which was a great success and an event which we hope to repeat, again varying the venue across the UK so that all members have a chance to take part. Here are some of the comments from last year’s attendees:

Out of a total of 10, attendees were asked:

How well did the conference fulfil your expectations 9.5
Did you find it useful to meet fellow sufferers? 9.4
Did you find it useful to meet expert doctors? 9.7
Has the conference improved your confidence in dealing with your pain? 8.6

And here are some of the comments:

The best thing about this conference was...

Meeting other sufferers and doctors who are dedicated to helping people with TN.

Brilliantly organised, excellent location.

The sharing of experiences and the friendships, superb organisation.

A totally enjoyable and informative conference.

Seeing how enthusiastic and committed the professionals and surgeons are.

The worst thing was...

Realising that I have been suffering for 17 years when I could have been getting more help!
