British Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting – 24th-27th April 2012
Professor Joanna Zakrzewska, Chair of TNA UK’s Medical Advisory Board, will be chairing a Workshop, Face2Face, that will involve TNA UK Chairman, Jillie Abbott, on the subject of how you can help a facial pain patient make the most of a consultation, and UCL Slade PhD Student and Artist in Residence, Deborah Padfield, whose presentation will be: Can photographic images of pain affect communication between clinician and patient? Can an exploration of facial pain inform our understanding of portraiture and vice versa?
The International Association of the Study of Pain (IASP) are declaring October 2011-2012 the Global year against Headache.
