The first West Yorkshire Support Group meeting took place, via Zoom of course, on 4th March 2021. Many thanks to Helen Clayton for scheduling the zoom and for hosting the meeting. As this was the first time that we had all met, we had a discussion outlining everybody’s TN experience from first occurrence, to diagnosis, to treatments and eventual outcomes.
Everybody had a positive story whether it involved controlling the pain with medication, or with surgical intervention via Gamma Knife and MVD. The MVD operations did produce some unexpected but ultimately manageable side effects that didn’t detract from the overall satisfaction of having had the procedure done.
It also emphasised what we all know, that everybody has a different experience of TN and we all learn just a little bit more from everybody’s shared experiences.
No date was set for the next meeting but somewhere towards the end of May would seem appropriate.

Hi Harry.
I’m so disappointed as I missed the meeting,
I did contact you several weeks ago regarding when the meeting would take place and if you could add my name to any e mail reminder lists.
Please can I ask how I can ensure I do not miss the next one.
I do receive e mails regarding the national zoom meetings and I have been lucky enough to attend the last two.
Thank you
Kind regards
Joanne Archer
