Trigeminal Neuralgia Cardiff Event 2025

Trigeminal Neuralgia Cardiff Event 2025

The Trigeminal Neuralgia Cardiff event on Wednesday 16 July 2025 has officially been fully booked  — and for good reason. For the first time, leading experts in neurology, neurosurgery, oral medicine, pain management and pharmacy will come together in Wales to meet face-to-face with the people living with one of the most painful conditions known to medicine. This Trigeminal Neuralgia Cardiff event marks the first national TNA UK conference to be held in Wales — a milestone moment for patients and professionals alike. And for hundreds of attendees travelling from across the UK, the Trigeminal Neuralgia Cardiff event will be far more than a medical gathering — it’s a lifeline.

A full house of hope, expertise, and connection

The Hilton Cardiff will host a landmark meeting of world-leading clinicians and lived experience voices. The day opens with an introduction from Aneeta Prem, Chief Executive of TNA UK, and features a powerhouse line-up:

  • Dr Melanie Simms, Consultant in Oral Medicine – TN & Oral Health

  • Mr Cellan Thomas, Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon – Jaw-Related Mimics

  • Dr Shefali Kadambande, Consultant in Pain Medicine – Pain Management Options

  • Dr Marina Bourke, Clinical Pharmacist – Medication Interactions

  • Mr George Eralil, Consultant Neurosurgeon –Service Provision in Wales

  • Aneeta Prem MBE, CEO of TNA UK, is hosting the event

A dedicated Patient Panel will share real-life insights into living with trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain, giving voice to experiences often hidden from the clinical gaze.

Why coming together matters

One attendee wrote to us this week:

“When Aneeta puts on an event, I know I have to go. I’ve already packed. I’m looking forward to meeting, sharing, laughing — even crying. But most of all, just being together. That means the world to me.”

In a condition so often described as invisible, isolating and misdiagnosed, coming together in person can be transformative. For some, this will be the first time they’ve ever met another person with trigeminal neuralgia. For others, it’s a long-awaited chance to ask a question, understand a treatment option, or just say, “me too”.

Support, solidarity, and silver

To help raise vital funds for TNA UK’s free helpline, printed resources, and regional support network, the day will also include a raffle with beautiful donated prizes, including silver jewellery and gifts contributed by volunteers and supporters.

Looking ahead

The conference in Cardiff is more than a single day. It is a statement that people living with trigeminal neuralgia deserve better recognition, more answers, and the best care possible. TNA UK is proud to bring together voices from across the UK and beyond, sharing a common vision: hope, dignity, and progress.

We are looking forward to seeing you.
