CONTACT US

Living with trigeminal neuralgia, TNFP or severe facial pain can be frightening, exhausting and isolating.

You do not have to face it alone.

TNA UK supports people affected by trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain, including patients, carers, family members, friends, volunteers, professionals, researchers, funders, journalists and supporters.

Whether you need support, want to volunteer, have a research enquiry, wish to donate, or need to contact us about media, partnerships or gifts in wills, please get in touch.

Helpline and support

Our Freephone UK helpline and e-helpline offer understanding, practical information and a listening ear.

The helpline is run by trained volunteers. Many understand trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain through lived experience, caring responsibilities or direct involvement with people affected by the condition.

That matters. When pain affects eating, speaking, sleeping, work, family life, confidence or emotional wellbeing, speaking to someone who understands can make a real difference.

How we can help

Our trained volunteers can offer:

emotional support;

practical information;

guidance on TNA UK services;

information about Regional Support Groups;

details about the TNA UK Friendship Line;

signposting to useful resources;

details about webinars, events and member support;

support for carers, family members and friends; and

a listening ear when facial pain feels overwhelming.

TNA UK does not diagnose, prescribe or provide individual medical advice. For medical questions, medication concerns, treatment decisions or urgent symptoms, please contact your GP, dentist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, pain specialist, NHS 111 or emergency services as appropriate.

SUPPORT CONTACT:

0800 999 1899

Of necessity, this phone line is operated on a rota system manned by a team of trained volunteers, all of whom are also TN sufferers, from their home addresses. Therefore, it may be necessary for you to leave a message on an answer machine but, if so, you will be called back at the earliest opportunity.

Please consider that our volunteers may be in full-time employment, so please refrain from calling before 9am in the morning as this may delay them from getting to their place of employment on time. Likewise, late evening calls may also cause inconvenience. Thank you.

Please also note that we may ask for some personal details for monitoring
purposes only.

Our Email Helpline is also staffed by trained volunteers, again TN sufferers themselves, who will answer your query as quickly as possible: [email protected]
