International TN Day 2025

International TN Day 2025. National Zoom Webinar.  Expert Benefits and Support Advice

On International TN Day 2025, we come together to offer Practical support, as awareness matters just as much.  On 7 October, TNA UK will host a special webinar with Benefit Answers, one of the UK’s most trusted independent organisations on disability benefits.

I am thrilled to be hosting this session. For a long time, our community has been seeking clear, expert advice on benefits, and I am delighted that we can now provide it — especially on our National Day, when we come together to support one another.

Since 2007, Benefit Answers has supported over 5,500 people, securing more than £3.5 million in payments. Entirely independent, unfunded by government, and confidential, their advice has been requested by our members for many years.

Ellis Jinks, a national expert, will explain how to apply for support, avoid common mistakes, and understand what benefits may apply whether over or under State Pension age. Topics will include:

  • Attendance Allowance

  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • Universal Credit

  • Carer’s Allowance

  • Council Tax Reduction and Disability Banding

  • Blue Badge

  • Nimbus Access Card

This is a conversation for everyone affected by TN and facial pain, including carers and families. If you have questions for the expert benefits adviser, please email them to us by 5 October so they can be addressed during the session.

Show TN the Three Fingers – Make TN Visible

The third part of our National Day is a gesture that began in silence and is now spreading across the world. Show TN the Three Fingers asks people everywhere to place three fingers diagonally across the face – representing the three branches of the trigeminal nerve.

This simple act began as a way for patients to signal pain when they could not speak. Today, it has become a symbol of recognition, solidarity, and visibility.

On 7 October, we want to see it everywhere – in homes, schools, workplaces, hospitals, and across social media. Every photo or video tells the same story: trigeminal neuralgia is real, devastating, and must not be ignored.

How to take part:

  • Take a photo or short video with three fingers across your face.

  • Post it with the hashtags #ShowTN3Fingers and #FaceOfTN.

  • Tag TNA UK so we can share your post.

Not on social media? Email it to [email protected] and we’ll post it for you.

Three fingers. One message. Together, we can make TN visible.

Why This Day Matters

Grace’s walk, the national Zoom webinar, and the Three Fingers campaign may look different, but they are united in purpose: to ensure no one faces trigeminal neuralgia or facial pain alone.

Awareness matters because too many still endure disbelief, delays, and misdiagnosis.
Support matters because TN impacts carers and families as well as patients.
Recognition matters because only by being visible can we drive change.

On 7 October, please:

  • Support Grace as she walks through pain for us all.

  • Join our national webinar and gain practical advice.

  • Show TN the Three Fingers and help make this condition visible across the world.
